Tuesday April 29, 2008 and Thursday May 1, 2008 apprentice classes are cancelled.
As of Dec 3, 2007, all new hires coming into the Local #18 Apprentice Program will be required to take and pass a drug test within 24 of reciept of the Letter Of Intent from the potential employer to the Local #18 Office Of Apprenticeship.
Effective Jan 21, 2008 all new Lead Countertop Installer Apprentices and Countertop Installer Finisher Apprentices related instruction classes will be held on Mondays from 4pm to 8pm.
MANDATORY APPRENTICE SEMINARMer-Krete representative Kendall Leak will be at the Union Hall for a new products training seminar on May 7, 2008 at 5PM. Regular apprentice classes that week are cancelled and all apprentices are required to attend on Wed. May 7, 2008 at the Union Hall to recieve class credit for the week and avoid a fine. Food and beverages will be provided. Attendance prizes will be given away courtesy of Mer-Krete.
The Monthly Timesheet Report Forms that are required to be turned in monthly for all apprentices is now posted on the Apprenticeship page in .PDF format. You can open the link, and print out as many forms as you want. You can fill them out and fax or mail completed forms to my office. The fax number and address are on the bottom of the form. Make sure the form is signed by your supervisor or journey worker before you send it in. You may also scan/email completed and signed forms to kshumake@local18mo.org
CONTRACTORS/EMPLOYERS OF APPRENTICESApprentice Evaluation Forms are now posted on the website in .PDF format. Please print out 1 form for each apprentice employee and fax it to my office on a quarterly basis. You will recieve a reminder email 2 weeks prior to the form(s) being due. Your cooperation and participation is appreciated |
